Canberra - Nation's capital or a place to die?

Ever been to Australia's capital - Canberra?
There are many different descriptions of Canberra, including references to it being a large country town. In all honesty though, it's not as bad as most people make out.
With a population of around 350 000 and the CBD (also known as Civic) expanding rapidly, Canberra is quickly becoming more trendy than it was in the past.
Despite this, would you ever consider moving there? What comes to mind when you think of Canberra?
